global competitiveness by preparing for ISO 9000 registration.

“The
ISO 9000 certification is important to our customers. It conveys confidence to them that our PRODUCTS/PROCESSES/SERVICES
will meet their requirements. Generally
speaking, customers in many countries require companies to be ISO 9000
certified before they will do business,” says Evangelos
Halastaras, President.
ISO
9000 is a series of international quality system standards containing
essential requirements for a firm’s business system.
The International Organization for Standardization, a Geneva-based
organization consisting of over 107 countries, writes the standards, which
are recognized worldwide.
The scope of the quality system includes the sales/marketing, production, service, and technical support associate with providing service and products to the marine industry. The resulting management system will improve Mathew Marine Inc.’s internal operating efficiency by improving internal communications and employee’s understanding of the methods for achieving quality.
